In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from lead singer of a cover band to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year residency.
